Before we leave the East we wanted to make sure we see as much as we can. So Saturday we went to The Crayola Factory in Easton PA. We had a lot of fun and is it reasonably priced considering how expiensive everything is out here. Although we didn't see the actual crayons being made it was still a blast.
Ben making a glacier out of paper.
They have the Canal Musuem on the 3rd floor. I know what you are thinking a canal museum? but it was very neat and geared towards kids. You will notice Ben's shirt is wet in the rest of the pictures.
Model Magic was awesome. I never even heard of it before. It is less messy then playdoh. You can put in a container and save it or leave it out to make a little model. It comes in colors or you can buy white and color it with a marker and make it the color you want.

Ben painting with the melted crayons. I just wish they would have given me a piece to color with too. We made a catapiller.
Finished Catapiller
They had an area for sidewalk chalk that was really neat. Ben didn't care for it that much.
This for sure was the biggest hit for the kids. They play music and the kids were dancing around in front of a camera or something then it put a psycadelic image of them on the screen.
Ben made a puppet and named him Dumbo.
The world's largest Crayon.
There was also water colors that I didn't a picture of and a color wonder station. They had the 1,000,000,000 crayon in Royal Blue on Display and a sweater Mr. Rodgers wore when he molded it. I have a soft spot for Mr. Rodgers so I thought that was cool. We came home with three markers and three boxes of crayons (four in a box) and three things of Model Magic. Although my suggestion to anyone that goes is to save your tokens for the markers to use for the Model Magic.

You have to get those 'must do's' in before you move back here! It looks like a good time!
So fun! I'm glad you posted this because it reminds me we need to go before we leave too!
hey, I was just there maybe the Saturday before you. I love the music psychadellic thing too. Too fun! Wouldn't it be cool to have one of those in your home? We like the Canal museam too. That was the first time I had been there, and in the summer they do canal boat/gondalla tours.
looks like fun ~ your boys are getting so big! I hope I get to see you this summer!
